Unit 7871
Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: layer
Data Category Information: Deposition: heterogeneous
Dimensions: 3.60 x 1.00 x 0,27
Discussion: This is a heterogenous layer located between midden placed on top of the Neolithic roof (units 7864, 7886) and double Neolithic wall against S edge of the trench (unit7453). Its part is cut by large Hellenistic pit (unit 7429). Stratigraphic position of the layer remains unclear. It is composed of mixed deposits with large iclusions of bricky rubble. It has irregular slope and different heights.
Remark:
At the beginnig of the 2004 season a new plan of southern section was drawn. It is aimed at capturing stratigraphic relations in this part of the trench. As the rsult a layout of layer 7871, as presented in graphics 03/136 & 03/134) was re-defined. Its proper layout is recorded in graphics 04/800 & 04/801.
