Discussion: It is irregular layer placed between midden deposits on top of the roof (unit 7864, 7880, 7888)and bricky layers next to the Neolithic wall located against S edge of the trench. It is composed of mixed ashy deposits. Ts stratigraphic relation to these two depositional sequences remains unclear. 

 

Recognition: colour, consistency 

Definition: irregular layer 

Execution: trowel 

Condition: windy, dry, hot 

Consistency: upper part - friable, lower part - soft 

Colour: dark brown, dark grey 

Texture: sandy silt with ash 

Bedding: layered & large number of paralllel strations 

Inclusions: obsidian, animal bones, pottery, daub 

Post-depositional Features: burrowing animals 

Basal Boundary: irrefular, arbitrary
