Discussion: 8037 appears to constitute a layer of packing which lies underneath the first, outer wall (8023, 8024) and also up against the 2nd inner wall (8039, 8040) forming a roughly 'L' shaped section.

The mudbricks (8039) are very similar to those of the first wall in both form and position.
The mortar (8040) covers both sides of the bricks and goes between them then continues out and apparently covers the whole floor surface of the oven. If this turns out to be the case then this will constitute a single constructional phase for both wall and floor.
