Discussion: The unit is situated in S part of an extension.
It is a layer of an infill of a large pit visible in W section of an extension. It doesn't cover the whole surface of the level of pit's infill. In the same level there are also two other units (8970 and 8971). The other part of this pit was excavated in previous seasons. In this level (the 4th one) it was unit 7449.
Unit 8953 was cut by a younger pit (feature 1172) which was even cut by the youngest - burial pit (feature 1173).
