Discussion: It is a layer of black burnt in S part of an extension. It was cut by a younger pit (feature 1172) but by itself it was also a fragment of a level of an infill of a large pit visible in W section of the main trench. In the same level of the large pit (feature 1175) there were also two other small layers (8953 and 8970). The pit (feature 1175) was also excavated in previous seasons and on this level (the fourth one) it was unit 7449.
