Discussion: It is a single femur found within unit 8937 (next to its W edge) being one of two layers (lower one) of a large pit in S of an extension.
The pit cut was registered as unit 10908, upper layer as 7845 and lower- mentioned above- as 8937. This pit cuts a burial (sk.8989 placed in the layer 7820) destroying its lower part. The skeleton 8989 was also damaged by Mellaarts trenches.
It is then possible that this femur belongs to the individual explored as unit 8989.
In the base of cut 10908 another cut was dug -containing a burial (skeleton 10937, infill 10936, cut 10938) wit a ...diagonally placed mudbricks in the base of the cut 10908 and not directly above the burial cut by its N side .Because of the poor condition of the bone it was impossible to estimate wheter it was left on right of left femur.

Other comments: loose femur found in grave cut fill for large mudbrick-topped burial. Possibly belongs to earlier torso burial (sk.8989) which was truncated above pelvis by the later grave cut.
