Discussion: Highly disturbed burial consisting of upper arms thoracic only.
Most likely a Hellenistic/Roman/Byzantine burial due to its east - west orientation a dorsal position.
Hand lost by Mellart's trench cut to west and pelvis/lower lımbs lost due to later burial cut at east.
Sex unknown but probably a young adolescent due to unfused hand bones and unworn dentition.
From the W side the burial cut by Mellaart's trenches and from E side by burial pıt (feature 10908). Within one of the layers (the upper one - unit 8937) a single femur was found (registered as unit - skeleton 8988.
İt is possible tha this femur belongs to the individual excavated as unit 8989.
The skeleton was 8989 was not placed within a cut or an infill of a pit but within layer registered as 7820.
