I was back on site today after a couple of days absence. Building 49 is progressing well, and our aim of completely excavating the occupation sequence by the end of the season still seems possible, if by no means a certainty.

Entry: | Today I started working in Building 49 with James and Freya. And this is the first time I have ever dug in a Neolithic house. Moreover, I have taken out the smallest deposit, a small plaster basin, of my life, which was quite exciting. |
