At some stage through the history of the building were two niches both of which fell out of use during the occupation of the house. To the north of the post was a 0.16m deep concave niche F.1629 with a 0.4m wide opening that was plastered red on the inside. This fell out of use at some point when it was filled by a mid brown clay silt (16079), and through the rest of the use of the house was repeatedly covered with red painted plaster (16080). |
