Feature 3624 is a probable division wall with relationship to feature 3627. Feature 3636 seems to abut the southern wall, f. 3626. It is constructed of brown mud brick but there is no evidence of plaster. Was not excavated.
2014 EXCAVATION SEASON: The feature must be regarded as a partition wall oriented N-S within western segment of B.108. It divided whole interior of the mentioned building to (western) Sp.501 and (eastern) Sp.84. Taking into consideration alignment of the partially preserved wall F.3637, standing toward the North (along the prolongation line of the F.3636), as well as orientation of both, one can be assumed that the northern truncation of the F.3636 might have been involved with performing an access linking Sp. 501 and Sp.84. In that circumstances mentioned features (F.3637, 3636) might have been erected, all the way as one internal wall with the gap playing the role of a door. The position and little thickness of the preserved course of bricks (0,03m), that were sunk within the deposit indicate the wall was set directly on the surface of a preparation layer (U.30189) and it was erected before performing floor plasters. |
