This feature was suspected and confirmed when cleaning space 40 for excavation of it. First the ribs of a human were seen and immediatly later an oval-shaped darker spot was recognized. It was very uneven in its surface, and with certainty at some point cut by previous LN activity, most probably in association with the digging of graves which was common in this area of space 40 (F 3661-3670, 3683). Also the fill and the skeleton has been affected by later activities foremost a test-trench dug in the feature's northern end in 2012, and its exposure to trampling over the years. Also animals have burrowed in it.

When excavating the no finds were hand-picked, but all soil was sampled. Obsidian and bone have been observed. The fill was greyish brown and quite homogenous; it seems it represents a rapid infill. The individual was an infant or child, placed on its side to the right supported by the cut "wall". We never found the head or limbs or outer extremities. Most probably (at least concerning the limbs and hands/feet) they were cut by other activities, such as graves, since we did find the epiphyses of tibia and femur, and humerus. Why the head is missing could be of similar reasons. This this was the primary burial of this individual, disturbed by later activities; filled quite rapidly with homogenous soil.

It was cut by a cut of uncertain function (20201) perhaps a garbage pit according to RE.
