Discussion: basal oven floor of oven F.1313. As wıth the others ıt ıs cracked and slumped at ıts southern extent. Thıs floor ıs laın on a bed of small pebbles ( these presumbaly derıvıng from puddleıng plaster from natural clays). The pebbles may have acted as heat retentıon and as a good bındıng agent for the rendered plaster surface. The maxımum sıze of peeble was 0.025m x 0. 02m. Thıs floor had the appearance of 'neolıthıc' concrete.
