Description: fill of 1090 

 

Discussion: Fill of foundation cut [1090]. Tip lines within the deposit tend to suggest truncation on the south by wall 1516 but later interpretation tends to contradict this. 

 

Execution: Mattock and trowel 

Condition: I guess it was sunny and hot! 

Consistency: moderately weak 

Colour: 2.5Y 4/3 olive brown 

Texture: Clay loam 

Bedding: Massive. 

Inclusions: Charcoal >2%, bone, pottery, coprolite, stone, clay ball, mini clay ball, burnt clay, daub, obsidian <2%. 

Post-depositional Features: A white bloom (fungal?) at the interface, truncated at the south by later wall 

Basal Boundary: Anthropogenic. Change in deposit.
