Unit 11004
Category: skeleton dug in 2004
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Burial
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: The burial was near the surface with only about 10 cms of grave fill above it. The upper body was in good condition while the lower skeleton was in poor conidition. The right lower ulna was also disturbed and missing. The missing bones were quite likely disturbed by animals and/or plant roots. The orientation of the grave was slightly off the west to east orientation typical of the late Roman/Byzantine burials found thus far. This could be related to the season of the year when the burial occurred. This individual was an adult, probably female.
