Discussion: Arbitrary layer of midden below 11022. Much bone, 2 bone tools together (X 1, 2). Many large pieces of bone. 2 Jaws of small mammals (wease?). At end of unit can see outline of pit -- drawn. Amy says this unit has lots of grain.

Recognition: Arbitrary descent into fill, after rmoving a dark, clayey, salt-encrusted layer 11022 

Definition: Bounded on N by wall, E by pit F. 1751, W by unexcavated portion of 4040 

Execution: Trowel, small pick 

Condition: Warm, dry, light breeze 

Consistency: Compact (same as 11020) 

Colour: Black to dark grey 

Texture: Greasy ashy loam 

Bedding: Composite 

Inclusions: Many bones, charcoal 

Post-depositional Features: None noted 

Basal Boundary: Arbitrary
