Category: layer dug in 2004
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: make up for plaster
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: feature; Description: raised area (platform); Material: pise-like; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: grey 'plaster' surface, thicker on west side up to 0.02m thick. Thinner, 0.01m thick at East interupted by animal burrow on the narrow isthmus between the two cuts 11265 and 11217. This unitnot like the usual platform plaster surface, not white plaster and thicker. Also a lot of grit and some phytolith material present. Maybye a make up for a plaster surface but if so has a plaster surface never laid or already stripped off? In the very NE corner where the unit ran up against platform F. 1321 and the pilaster F. 1308 there was some white plaster diresctly over 11270, on top of that a thin layer of orange/brown make up? Took archive as different to normal platform plaster.
