Unit 11715
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: brick
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick
Dimensions: 2,40 x 0,30 x 0,30
Discussion: It is a fragment of wall in central part of Building 61 along N-S alignment. Analysis of stratigraphic relations with the Building floor showed that it was a later addition to the Building and hence should be linked with one of the significant episode of the reconstruction. It appears that this wall is contemporary with yet another wall in eastern part of this Building (unit 11792). Both walls are associated with younger phase of the Buildings occupation. The wall was placed on the flor recorded as unit 12281 and dated back to the phase I.
It consisted of two layers of mudbricks. As looked from N to S they have the following dimensions:
the top course: 0.50/ 0.30/ 0.09; 0.47/ 0.31/ 0.08; 0.23/ 0.30/ 0/08; 0.68/ 0.32/ 0.10; 0.40/ 0.33/ 0.05
the bottom course: 0.30/ 0.12/ 0.10; 0.65/ 0.32/ 0.10; 0.60/ 0.35/ 0.10; 0.70/ 0.30/ 0.10; 0.24/ 0.34/ 0.10.
The brownish mortar between the bricks was 0.03 - 0.05 m high. The bricks were easy to distinguish and cut off. They were not placed regularly one on top of the other.
