Unit 11761
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: infill
Data Category Information: Location: between walls; Deposition: homogeneous
Dimensions: 2,12 x 1,08 x 0,08
Discussion: this is an infill layer located against S edge of the trench. It is placed between two walls (u. 11714 from W u. 11764 from N). It was later truncated by two pits (Byzantine burial pit from S - feature 1173, a pit from E - 11763).
The infill had constant thickness and contained a relatively large amount of big fragments of animal bones. The layer was placed on compact layered deposit which itself seems to be placed on the floor and it may contain elements of fallen roof of upper storey of this building.
Surface of the unit was sloping E, so three measurements of the lowest point were taken -
W 1017.07 m
central 1017.00 m
E 1016.96 m
