Discussion: Neolithic infant skeleton found in Space 272, the western portion of building 53. The skeleton was discovered during heavy excavation such that the cranium and mandible were mostly disturbed. Two small fragments of the skull remained in situ. The rest of the body was intact (except for the left shoulder). The position of the body was interesting in that the lower limb was in a flexed position where the knees were to the sides and the feet to the center of the body. The upper body was on the left side. No phyotliths were noted although a sample of the surrounding soil was taken. The body was oriented E/W with the head to the east. A piece of worked obsidian was found on the left ilium this was not x-finded. A yellow organic residue was found in the chest region, partially adhering to the internal surface if a right centeral rib. The infant is aged approximately NB-0.5 years of age.

Right Arm: Extended frombody outward to the side

Left Arm: Under body, extended towards the left knee with the hand at the knee.

Right Leg: Tightly flexed at the knee with the knee to the side and the foot towards the center of the body parallel to the lower right leg
