Category: Layer    dug in 2006

Area: TP

Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: mix (dark grey&white); Deposition: composite (floors/bedding/plaster/packing/occupation); Basal Spit: unpainted

Dimensions: 1,30 x 0,40 x 0,04

Discussion: This is a fragment of a solid grey floor that is located in southern part of Building 61 and belongs to the oldest phase of its occupation in the sequence that is to be dated to phase II by the Mellaart scheme.
It is placed directly underneath a seqeuence of floor deposits southwards to the partition wall (unit 13002) that demarcated the space organisation in the following phase of the Building occupation. This earlier floor, however, comprises an intrusive element of the entire structure and no internal dimensions are discernible.
The basal boundary was sloping so that the highest ranged from 1017.19 in the western part to 1017.04 in the eastern part and the lowest ranged from 1017.15 in the western part to the 1017.00 in the eastern part.
