Unit 13494
Category: Layer dug in 2006
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: secondary fill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: pit; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: Layer in pit. It is made up of a dark grey mottled clay silt. It is very similar to (13489), in an adjacent pit. The lower part of the layer contained a clay element probably of the same primary fill process as (13492), but it was not as strong an element here. Formation wise the unit layer in general is of secondary deposition with natural local landscape erosion, and this with some domestic waste dumping. The latter is suggestive by the quantity of bone recovered. Original Total Deposit Volume entered as 0 altered by system check 30/08/09
