Unit 14426
Category: Layer dug in 2008
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: Floors
Data Category Information: Location: building; Description: general; Material: mix (dark grey&white); Deposition: multiple; Basal Spit: unpainted
Discussion: Two eroded floors, white plaster overlying brown clay silt make up. Only survived in NE corner of central floor area of building. Presumably eroded by people walking through building while it was in use.
Brown lower make up appears to have been burnt. It has a friable burnt texture and mid-dark brown burnt apperance. There is no evidence it was burnt in-situ.
The underlying floor dips down to the east, near wall F1660, and this unit may have been an attempt to level this dip/slump.
