Unit 15350
Category: Layer dug in 2011
Area: Trench 5
Interpretive Categories: arbitrary top soil layer
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: EW 5m - NS 2m , depth 0.15-0.2m
Discussion: This is a secondary arbitrary layer of top soil south of U.15349, west of U.15352. The layer was slightly sloped going down towards east, following the natural slope of the tell surface. The southwestern part was sandier than the rest of the layer, which was generally silty. At the corner of this unit and unit 15349 a disturbed burial was uncovered (F.3340). In the eastern section, several big rocks and a very big tile emerged which could possibly point to a disturbed / undisturbed late burial pit. U.15357 was opened to take off another 10-20cm of soil.
