Discussion: The remaining plaster covering wall f. 5058 was removed to expose the actual make-up of the wall. Due to prolonged exposure there was not much plaster left on the wall and during its removal some bricky material including finds were dislodged and collected with this unit. A small strip of plaster material was left standing, which extends from the top of the wall down to the level of a plastered area to the south of buttress f. 3301. This was done in order to garuntee a connection between the plastering on the wall and the surface at a later point, as this area is crucial for the understanding of the phases of this space as well as the building.
