Discussion: Like all the other layers on top of this, the floor gets friable and thinner towards the west end of the platform. The floor close to the wall on the east is whiter and more compact. The south side is more burnt and friable and clay flecks are concentrated in that part. There are more phytoliths in the make-up in that part too. 

Recognition: form, colour 

Definition: by the wall (and CE platform) 

Execution: leaf trowel 

Condition: warm - hot 

Consistency: firm on the side of the walls, gets friable towards the west of the platform 

Colour: light and mid-grey and brownish grey and a layer of orangish brown make-up 

Texture: clayey silt 

Bedding: layered 

Inclusions: occasional: tiny stones; rare: small pieces of charcoal, plant impressions, phytoliths, bone, clay flecks 

Post-depositional Features: animal burrows, insect burrows
