Unit 20458
Category: Layer dug in 2012
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: burnt surface
Data Category Information: none
Dimensions: 3.04 m (EW) x 3.12m (NS), 0.05 (depth)
Discussion: This very ashy infill (collapse) posiıbly eroded neolithic surface contained two large pieces of charcoal (samples 3+4) worth interest. S3 consisted of a piece some 50 cm long and 40 cm wide and was docmented by the botany team as oak. While excavating this unit we also came across possible remnants of room division in the middle of the unit. Howewer, it was impossible to make a clear distinction and hence these slight changes in texture have all been excavated as one unit.
