Discussion: This unit was identified as being stratigraphically above the platform 3508. The layer of makeup removed was unevenly present over the platform and while a lighter brown makeup layer was easily uncovered in places, in other areas there were at least two layers of plaster before reaching the same makeup underneath. The layer of makeup removed was greyer and coarser (with visible inclusions) than the one found underneath (u.20829). The layer was relatively clean; but some small artifacts were removed mostly toward the eastern wall. The layer was not completely removed to the light brown makeup underneath because of the discovery of a thick patch of coarse plaster and orage clay makeup in the northern area of the platform. This was designated u.20826 and excavated before u.20829. 

Consistency: strong/compact 

Colour: grey-brown 

Texture: silt 

Bedding: compound layered (plaster + make up) 

Inclusions: plaster and clay (5%), coal (2%) 

Post-depositional Features: trampling 

Basal Boundary: uneven. Above light brown make-up layer in some sections, plaster and clay make-up in others.
