Discussion: Inter-wall infill clearly visible between the southern wall of building 108 (F. 3634). Difference in terms of color and texture, also clearly visible in the section in B. 108. As the layer was situated between the outer walls of two different buildings it seems highly likely that the layer has functioned as supporting walls. This especially reasonable to assume as the layer contained large amounts of fragmented bricks mixed with sandy silt, bone, pieces of plster that were seemingly placed between the foundation wall of B. 108 which was constructed in a midden and the outer wall of space 90. The unit was excavated by trowel, following the visible borders in the B. 108 section and the outline of its southern wall (F.36349 and the northern wall of space 90. The infill contained a big aurochs bone, a fragmented animal figurine (Find X1 below). The initial plan was to excavate further, but the presence of large mudbricks and mortar in what seems to be the infill led to the decision to divide the infill layer into two units. The continuation of the infill is U. 21648. Unit 21646 does not belong to a space or building, but it should be considered as an external constructional element relatable to the southern wall of B.108.
