Dimensions: 0.58m n-s, 0.5m w-e, 0.33m thick

Discussion: Firmly packed quite sterile infilling of oven F252, a deliberate single event. At the northern end it was packed particularly firmly and made flush with the face of wall F97 but it was not plastered even though wall F97 was. The thoroughness of the infilling may be partially due to the fact that it was part of a wall or may just indicate a general thoroughness when infilling ovens as shown by oven F87.

Jan. 2001.
As excavated and recorded this was backfilled at the same time as oven 87, doesn't quite make sense if 87 replaced 252 which the truncation of the structure in space 151 indicates. Also the deposits associated with it's use are cut by oven 87 construction cut, so I've pushed it down on the sequence as an earlier blocking. We should be able to test this by comparing the different fills?
