Data Category Information: Location: building; Deposition: homogeneous

Dimensions: 2.80 m x 1.30 m x c. 22 cm deep

Description: same as / copied from 2844

Discussion: Room fill, 2nd half of space 112.

Compact homogeneous layer and well mixed deposit - fairly sterile of occupation and artefactual debris. Source of material must be from elsewhere where it was broken up or mixed - what about through a sieve system?

The compaction of 'clean' appearance (similar to infill in space 109 and 113) may have been the levelling deposit for construction of the floors.

Recognition: structural debris infill (plaster and brick) defined by S & N walls

Definition: room fill

Execution: arbitrary layer by trowel and handpick

Condition: dry & crumbly

Consistency: moderlately loose

Colour: 10 YR 8/1 white

Texture: clayey silt

Bedding: massive

Inclusions: flecks of small charcoal, bone rare

Post-depositional Features: pits (?) / deposits (2775), (2855)

Basal Boundary: sharp, clear & flat, anthropogenic
