Discussion: Single course of bricks, built onto earlier feature, which forms the eastern edge of platform 7950. Built to raise the height of the Eastern edge/ kerb of platform 7950, as the floor levels rise in order to retain the platform shape. Respects posts 7992 & 7971 which may belong to the constriction phase of this building. 

Consistency: Firm-friable 

Colour: Light yellowish brown & light grey bonding 

Texture: Coarse clay mudbrick, with coarse clay bonding 

Bedding: heterogonous 

Inclusions: Occasional grit/ small stones (1%), Would have contained mod frequent straw/reed/grass as lots of impressions with in bricks (c.5%) 

Post-depositional Features: Burrowing, roots,burning 

Basal Boundary: clear
