Discussion: This material seems to be part of a repair or underpinning event of the W wall. The material is rather homogenous, evenly packed against what seems to be the inner repair or part of the underpinning (3298). (3296) only have some stripes of grey grainy clay (almost like mortar but not all the way through).
Recognition: On wall, but not bricks and mortar.
Definition: Defined by infill and face of inner repair.
Execution: Excavated with trowel/leaf trowel.
Condition: Moist.
Consistency: firm
Colour: 10 YR 4/6 dark yellowish brown
Texture: clayey silt
Bedding: layered (with streaks of grainy grey clay)
