Unit 3575
Category: layer dug in 1999
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: fill on floor
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: This unit represents the remains directly on floor level. They are of the same kind as those in units 3568 3566 and 3577. These remains are frgs. of brick and plaster mixed w/ ash, charcoal. All these units are 1x1 m and they are part of our grid.
This unit is also below where the scapularium was.
There were many (more than 3) phases of this floor and we have cleaned and quite likely removed the latest one last year in our scraping of the area. The reasons we have scraped it off so easily is that the floors in the south part of the house are very fragile due to being burnt and subjected to a lot of ware.
Presently, we the next to the latest floor surface in this unit. It joins the platform edge (F.170).
