Unit 3819
Category: layer dug in 1998
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: infilling
Data Category Information: In Situ: non in-situ; Location: building; Material: brick&mortar; Deposition: homogeneous
Discussion: Lowest part of infilling in space 155.
The deposit of (3819) has inclination from W to E and just in front of the hole which opens to the space 154. But immediately makes something to think that might be possible of accumulation in to this area through the hole. It has almost 10-15 degrees rise against to the partition wall which divides space 155 and 154. This deposit also contained thick plaster aggregates, mudbricks and 2 cow scapulae which were situated on top of each other, see drawing no 98-625. However, the deposit apparently extends southwards of the area. We may equate this context with (3840) in the S end of the space. They both exhibit similar characteristics and both underlay by the red coloured floors. Both scapulae are weathered and chipped and use show on them. Heavy usage of the two scapulae. Scapulae may have been used for ???
Heavy residue: moderately dense. Materials are large according to them, earliest process of chaff indicated some preparation. Density is in between similar sample to Craig's area (154) to (3801).
