Very thin dark 'trample' layer, although only visible in part of the section, this layer extended throughout the excavated area, except around some of pit edge.

Execution: Leaf trowel and patience.
Condition: Dry.
Consistency: medium compacted, friable
Colour: 7.5 YR 4/2 brown
Texture: ashy clay, plastic, greasy
