Discussion: Sixth layer of floors in platform F239.
Plaster layer, has area of salts towards SE limit of excavation, also quite cracked in places. Also dark, very fine layers under the plaster, too thin to excavate separately. Salts are labelled 6 on 98-639 (plan); plaster layer = 7 on 98-639; dark layer = 8 on same plan.
The plaster contained at least 6 different lenses, some were darker than others.
Recognition: Floor of platform. Colour/texture changes.
Definition: Defined by limit of excavation.
Execution: Leaf trowel and patience.
Condition: Dry.
Consistency: compact but friable when crushed
Colour: plaster 7.5 YR 8/1 white; dark layer 7.5 YR 4/2 brown
Texture: ashy clay
Bedding: compound layered
Inclusions: some charcoal fragments 1 mm 1%
Post-depositional Features: animal hole in SE corner
Basal Boundary: diffuse/contrast is faint/smooth surfaces/but cracked in places
