Discussion: This is a linear ditch running from north to south iin the eastern flanks of the East Mound. It is quite well visible with a naked eye, as a a depression in surrounding ground, but is was also however recorded during the geophysical prospection in 2010 and 2012 and interpreted as a field boundary ditch, therefore connected to modern agricultural activity.
It turned out to be quite shallow and did not contain much archaeological material. Its thickness varied: in S part it was 30 cm, in central part 22 cm, while in N part- 10 cm. 

 

Consistency: Some parts of soft but generally compact 

Colour: Dark brown 

Texture: Sandy silt 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Organic remains, plant remains 

Post-depositional Features: Roots (few) 

Basal Boundary: Distinct
