Discussion: Sixteenth layer of floor lenses on platform F239.
This layer was made up of lenses of patchy material, salts were present. In section it appeared that this was one layer, labelled 34 on plan 98-639. Impossible to separate lenses so given one unit number.
Recognition: Floor of platform. Colour/texture changes.
Definition: Defined by limit of excavation.
Execution: Leaf trowel and patience.
Condition: Dry.
Consistency: compact, but friable when crushed
Colour: 5 YR 7/2 pinkish grey (mostly)
Texture: ashy clay (mostly)
Bedding: compound layered
Inclusions: salts
Post-depositional Features: roots, animal hole in SE corner
Basal Boundary: pitted, discontinous
