Colour: mid-dark reddy yellow brown but lower mid-dark grey brown 

Texture: fine sand clay and silt (10:20:70) 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: <% salt flecks 

Post-depositional Features: natural few roots, east face eroded + dry 

Basal Boundary: clear through excavation - constructuiona but not so clear in wall, + often basal boundary indicated by spread of salt carbonates
