Unit 5012
Category: layer dug in 1999
Area: South
Data Category Information: Location: feature; Description: hearth; Deposition: heterogeneous
Discussion: This context is siuated within the F539 which is an oven that built towards SW corner of the building and right up against the S wall. Its shape is almost pear like due to its cut. This was the last fill which underlied the 5004 within the cut. Max dimensions o fht unit are 75 x 80 x 6 cm. Contained clay ball and some stone objects. Some of these objects were delibaretely placed in this fill. This may be another construction level for the oven in order to raise the bottom it. However, it sugests that being part of or earliest phase of 5004 within the cut. If the base of the oven repaired 5004 must have been built on top of this unit.
