Dimensions: 3.3m+ w-e, 2.7m+ n-s, 0.01 to 0.08m thick 

Discussion: Distinctive 'lime burning' deposit. Definitely in-situ and over scorching (5277). Located in eastern part of space 181 it is quite widespread but most substantial at eatern end and gradually petering out to west, main concentration to east of [5269]. This si the most substantial of the 'lime burning' episodes which produced scorching (5277) and affected underlying layer (5279).

Consistency: friable 

Colour: mainly light yellowish white, some light pink patches, occasional light brownish orange 

Texture: sandy 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: occasional stone and burnt bone

Basal Boundary: distinct, anthropogenic, smooth, sloping down to west/south
