Discussion: this room infill was quite hard - dark greyish brown soil with orange spots within the clay, a lot of salt concretions. Did not reach any floors during excavation. I got a bit nervous about the whole structure thing in general while I was excavating, so after a while I changed the unit number. 

Recognition: recognized and defined as room infill between the walls found towards the S of the trench

Colour: greyish brown 

Texture: sandy clay loam 

Bedding: massive 

Inclusions: bits of orange clay chunks, grey clay chunks (c.5%), salt concretions (c.2%), very small bits of charcoal (<2%), very few finds 

Post-depositional Features: animal, root, insect activity
