Unit description: Sample 1 contains few bones, mostly small, not generally trampled, less than 1 cm long, and from sheep-sized individuals (where identifiable). One sheep-sized long bone fragment is 4 cm long, and one rib fragment (given an x-number in the field as it was thought to be an artifact). Two pieces (less than 10% of the collection) are burned (low temperature). There is one tooth fragment, probably from a sheep or goat. Pieces are well broken, but not excessively trampled, indicating that processing was intense and deposition was rapid. Area is low traffic, reasonably clean. NR 2003: Sample 6 >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded completely. Tiny sample with a few bits of sheep-size scrap, quite small and fairly fresh. Looks like clean construction material.
