Removed layers of floors & packing - several thin discontinuous layers (see S7 for more exact count) up to platform base in the north. Some floors came off easily - especially in area east & south of fire inst. #2. In this same area there was a large amount of phytoliths below a packing layer of grayish ashy material (see S6 for example of phytoliths). As I went closer toward toward circular areas it seemed they were two distinct fire installations which seem to have been cut into the floors, or possibly continued from earlier & the floor was built around them. Fire installation #2 is feature 615 and will be excavated in cross section as unit #6187.

Consistency: hard & compact 

Colour: 10YR6/3 packing / 10YR6/1 gray floor

Bedding: compound layered (packing/plaster floor/packing) 

Inclusions: salts (flecks 2%), phytoliths (sm-med 5%), charcoal(small 2%) 

Post-depositional Features: animal holes, <= 1% roots 

Basal Boundary: floor, broken damaged cracked surface/ but wavy & smooth in central area
