Unit 10336
Category: skeleton dug in 2005
Area: North
Interpretive Categories: skeleton
Data Category Information: none
Discussion: This neolithic infant burial cut contains 3 probable infant burials (sk. 10330, 10335, 10336). This skeleton (10336) lies on the floor of the burial cut. It ispossible that the skull and tibia/fibula belong to the associated burial sk 10330. This will be sorted out and notated after lab analysis.
Preservation of skull is poor because of prolonged exposure on the Roman foundation trench floor.
It appears that this burial cut was on a platform or floor adjacent to the N wall of the neolithic house. The remainder of the burial cut within the section wall will be excavated in sequence in the future.
