Discussion: Infant burial found while Gareth was cleaning the northwest section of Gareth and Simon's area in the south. The frontal bone, meandible, right clavicle, and some ribs were exposed during this cleaning and removed before the proper excavation of the rest of the skeleton. The face may have been oriented to the north with the body on its back or its side. The burial probably had been eroded over time and displaced from its original position. Animal disturbance was evident in several areas of the unit, especially in the north, running in an E-W direction. The soil was quite loose and easily came away from the bone. The soil under the skeleton was distinct from the burial fill by being more compact and lighter in color. The feature number and burial cut unit is incomplete at this time and should be better evaluated when the area is exacavted from above.

During invesitgation to find cut for infant burial, some more grave fill was recovered from ex and sieving included: animal bone, obsidian fragment, and a human tooth.
