Unit 11352
Category: layer dug in 2005
Area: South
Interpretive Categories: mudbrick
Data Category Information: In Situ: in situ; Location: wall/blocking; Material: brick; Deposition: homogeneous
Dimensions: 1x 0.4x 0.45m aprox
Discussion: Heavily eroded stub of wall F1070, excavated to south in 2002 prior to south shelter construction. Brick material v crumbly and friable, similar colour to bricks in F826. Size of bricks hard to determine as every one is eroded to some degree. Fragment of plaster noted on one brick, pos suggesting reuse of one brick at least in lower course of wall.
F1070 appears in many photos of F826.
F1070 abutts F826 and overlies midden deposits, (11355), (11356) etc, which also abutt F826 and are later than B42.
V approximated. T.C.C. 20-07-09.
Recognition: remnants of mudbrick wall on eastern side of F826, consisting of 4 courses
Execution: trowel
Condition: dry
Consistency: friable
Colour: light red brown, orange
