Unit 11586
Category: layer dug in 2005
Area: TP
Interpretive Categories: posthole infill
Data Category Information: Location: cut; Description: posthole; Deposition: homogeneous
Dimensions: 0.18 x 0..20 x 0,27
Discussion: This is an infill of a posthole found within a make-up layer (11590) under the Roman floor (unit 10988). 11590 was a second layer oflevelling under this floor, while the first layer was recorded as unit 11579.
It is possible then that the posthole was also present in the layer 11579 but it was not visible easily and therefore was not recorded there. The sign of this posthole was also visible in the west edge of wall.
There has been also another posthole recorded in association with this Roman floor (10988) and noticed within make-up layer 11579. Its infill has been excavated as unit 11584 and its cut recorded as 11585.
