Discussion: Phase II wall of fire installation F.I.11 - built up prior to floor? Difficult to be certain- it was built up against and over previous phase I wall which itself had all floors laid up against it. See sketch profile B. As yet, inner surface of phase I and II difficult to distinguish.
Notice how opening of fire installation changes orientation between phase I and II- in phase I, faces east through opening in wall in room 70, while in phase II faces move into room, to opposite corner.

Texture: Clayey silt.
Bedding: Massive
Inclusions: Charred organic <0.5 cm, 5%; sileceous plant material <2 cm, 20-30 %; fragments of red/fired? mudbrick <0.5 cm, 5%; flecks of plaster? <0.2 cm, 2%.
Post-depositional Features: Roots 5% and salt reprecipitation.
Basal Boundary: Smooth, stepped (see sketch over), distinct, sharp (2-5mm)
