Discussion: Earlier floor of phase II fire installation truncated at eastern half, probably during cleaning out and prior to resurfacing.
Material very similar same as that used to make complete floor (1247).

Colour: 7.5YR 5/4 Brown/ paler surface 8/2 

Texture: Silty clay loam 

Bedding: Massive 

Inclusions: Charred plant remains 2 % < 0.5 cm. 

Post-depositional Features: Rootlets 5% & salt reprecipitation 

Basal Boundary: Smooth, flat, very sharp <2mm, prominent.
